Will’s journey began with struggles that started early. “I started using marijuana when I was 12,” he recalls. While parts of his childhood were good, other parts were rough—and over the years, substance use led to painful consequences: lost jobs, broken family relationships, time in jail, and a deep sense of hopelessness. “I gave up on life. I wanted to kill myself.”
But in the darkest moments, something stirred in Will. “It was my kids,” he says, naming the reason he first sought help. His recovery journey hasn’t been easy—it’s included several programs and plenty of hard lessons—but Will has found renewed purpose through faith and community.
“Reading the Bible, getting right with God, and being around people I trust—people who don’t judge me—those are the things that have helped,” Will shares. Restoration Springs, he says, became a turning point. “It made me realize life’s short and not to waste it. That people care. That life does give you a second chance if you really apply yourself.”
At the heart of Will’s transformation is his faith. “You gotta believe in Him. Just put it all in His hands, and let Him do it—you’ll see it.”
Now, Will has a message for anyone struggling: “Believe in God. Don’t give up on yourself. You can do it if you try. Never give up. Never give up hope. There’s always another day you can walk.”
