SUMMARY:The Great American Recovery Initiative Alabama Kickoff
DESCRIPTION:Great American Recovery Initiative: A Historic Gathering of Alabama Faith Leaders\nThursday\, December 3\, 2026 @10:30 AM CST\nFayette Civic Center | Fayette\, Alabama \nA historic opportunity is unfolding across America\, and Alabama’s faith leaders are being called to be part of it! \nOn January 29\, 2026\, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order establishing the Great American Recovery Initiative\, a landmark effort to transform our nation’s response to addiction by bringing together government agencies\, healthcare providers\, faith-based organizations\, and community leaders. This initiative recognizes the vital role that faith communities play in restoring lives\, rebuilding families\, and strengthening communities affected by substance use disorders. \nOn December 3\, 2026\, faith leaders from across Alabama are invited to gather at the Fayette Civic Center for a monumental day of unity\, collaboration\, and purpose. This gathering represents an opportunity for Alabama’s faith community to come together\, learn about the Great American Recovery Initiative\, and explore how churches\, ministries\, and faith-based organizations can play a meaningful role in advancing recovery efforts throughout our state. \nThis is more than an event—it is an opportunity to be part of a historic movement. Faith communities have long stood on the front lines of addiction recovery\, offering hope\, healing\, restoration\, and second chances. Now\, with faith-based partnerships specifically recognized within this national initiative\, Alabama’s faith leaders have an opportunity to help shape how communities respond to addiction and support lasting recovery. \nWe invite pastors\, ministry leaders\, faith-based recovery organizations\, and other faith leaders from across Alabama to join us for this important gathering. Together\, we can strengthen partnerships\, unite around a shared mission\, and help build a future where more individuals and families experience the hope and freedom of recovery. \nBe present. Be informed. Be involved. Be part of the Great American Recovery!
