Pastor Mayo Sowell is a Louisiana native that found his way to Alabama where God transformed his life and propelled him into his purpose. After beginning a relationship with Jesus and never looking back, Mayo found himself in Birmingham and planted at Church of the Highlands. He attended the church’s ministry college and is currently serving as a Campus Pastor & Student Pastor. Mayo can often be found disciplining young leaders, digging deep into the Word of God, and, of course, doing his very best to become a scratch golfer. Passion is the name of the game for Mayo. Mayo has been married to his wife, Kai, for 5.5 years and they have a 3 year-old son who is fully living up to his name, Cannon, and a one-year old baby girl named, Brave.
